What is normal evaporation?

normal evaporation is depended on many things like the weather, air temperature, and exposure to wind. Spill overs and water features greatly contribute to evaporation rates. Generally 1/4″ is normal.

How do you find a water leak?

Leak detection, in its basic form, is done by way of Patented Electronic Listening Devices, Dye testing, Pressure Testing, Visual Inspection, and Scuba Diving. Our job is to find the leak and then offer a quote for a full repair allowing the client to have an all-in-one solution.

How accurate is leak detection?

The industry standard is within a 2’x2′ area. Leak locators do have circumstances that can and do affect this like the depth and material of the pipe. A PVC pipe buried 4ft under ground with very compacted soil will be tough to find, but a pipe buried under a 4′ concrete slab and 12′ under the dirt can be found with great accuracy. 90% is up to the locator’s skills and 10% is his locating gear. We spend a lot of time wearing ear muffs, listening for certain sounds that our ears are trained to pick up on. It takes a lot of “muff time” to get good at leak locating.

How much do water leak detection services cost?

What is the average cost to repair a water leak in a pool?

How do you repair broken pool pipes?

These types of repairs can be some of the toughest to fix, After locating the area where the leak has occurred, we will access the least invasive method to uncovering it for the repair.  Once the pipe is exposed the impacted part of the pipe is cut out and repaired in that area using a number of available methods. We generally cannot bypass the pipes in a pool, so we fix them in place and restore the concrete and coatings.

I think I have a leak, but I’m not sure?

If you suspect a leak in your home or commercial property, find your water meter and see if you’re using water. If so, call Burlington Leak Detection to trouble shoot where you’re losing it. Pools can be easily measured by way of “the bucket test” or just by monitoring the water loss with a measuring tape. Simply shut off the auto filler if you have one and watch for 24 hours recording the results. Large pool leaks may lose water faster than you anticipate so keep a close eye on the levels so you don’t run any of your pool pumps dry causing irreversible damage.

How fast can I get service?
