A Test You Can Do With a Bucket Before You Call!
If you have reason to believe that your pool is leaking, try using the below test method to determine if the pool is losing water due to evaporation or due to a pool leak. Start by filling a 20 liter bucket about four inches from the top and place the bucket in your pool. Mark the water level on the inside of the bucket using a permanent marker. Mark the water level on the outside of the bucket (pool water level) using a permanent market. In 24 hours, measure from your mark to the water level inside the bucket and record this. Then, measure from your mark to the water level of the pool on the outside of the bucket and record. If you lost more water in your pool than in your bucket, you likely have a leak.
